Apotheke the word BOTICA comes from the generic name for a storage place in ancient Greek, Ἀποθήκη («apotheke»)
It is a new quotient and sustainable project, born in this year 2024 in the Canary Islands, where I have finished my studies in Naturopathy, Nutrition and Dietetics at the Gremi d’Herbolaris, Apicultors i Alimentació Dietètica i Bilògica de Catalunya. It is a professional association of retailers of herbal medicine, natural and organic food, dietary supplements, bee products, cosmetics and related products.
I started to investigate all foods and their processes and properties, beginning to study everything we eat, and how to eat consciously and integrating each property into our body. We know that our body is our temple, we have always had a passion, especially me, Laura, in conscious and healthy cooking. Being a vegetarian, I have dealt with the subject in depth, researching phytotherapeutic treatments and introducing them into food.
Working in vegetable gardens and learning and contributing all my skills to deal with the Pachamama and its food and dealing with what is the ecological and sustainable vegetable garden in Tenerife.
Combining the two ideas of healthy food and phytotherapy, I have thought of generating a quotient project where we can eat in a healthy way and study what type of food we could offer to possibilities regarding pathologies, deficiencies, aktin diets, obesity, and possibilities for vegan and vegetarian children and parents by fusing with different plants, flowers and vegetables.
I put a lot of love and research into our self-care and I have thought about wanting to offer support to the world that we see is lacking this conscious awakening and getting out of this whole «junk food» cycle and preparing dishes and exact quantities to feel the sensation of satiety and energy and above all getting to taste different dishes made with spices and authentic recipes and rich in food made so that on your day you are not hungry and you eat anything or you go to an unconscious snack, with the idea of ​​​​transmitting all the nutritional values ​​​​based on quotient and sustainable nutrition, avoiding processed foods, refined sugars, avoiding dairy products cured by cholesterol, replacing caffeine with chicory, offering infusions studied regarding the different sensations to relieve and a rich pastry of products avoiding eggs, or wheat flour, or cow’s milk and replacing it with oats, coconut flour and oats and generating homemade products and quotients with their aesthetics reaching the healers. In ancient times, simplicity, connection and healing were suggested through medicinal plants and the food offered by Pachamama. The call also suggests drinks such as milk and water kefir, and breakfast in the form of mucilage: mucilages perform very important functions in the plant kingdom. They are soluble fibers that are part of the large group of carbohydrates, more specifically polysaccharides. We can find them in the albumen of seeds, bulbs, roots, leaves and even flowers. Some of their most important functions are to provide energy, protect the plant, help the roots penetrate the soil better and help the seed to germinate, creating a moist layer around it when it comes into contact with water…
The idea is to generate an innate tendency to seek connections with nature and other ways of generating well-being and feeling good about oneself, such as «the impulse to affiliate with other forms of life.»
